ABOUT MAX-I-MIME 


After twenty years as s solo artist, and six years as a lead clown for Cirque du Soleil, Maxim Fomitchev has performed in over thirty countries for audiences of millions.

Maxim Fomitchev in the persona of Max-i-mime is considered to be one of most expressive artists. He is an internationally recognized mime artist who uses the classic mime techniques of flexibility and strength, combined with physical comedy and expression. Fomitchev transports his audience into a world of laughter and pathos using only his body, his face and a few props.

INSPIRATIONAL STORY ... HE WAS BORN TO DO THIS:

Fomitchev got his performing start at age 13 in his birthplace Moscow, Russia. An amazing and well-studied Mime Artist, Max was frequently the only deaf performer and graduated at the top of his class with a MFA in Theatre. After joining the famed Zakutok Theatre, he has toured and performed throughout the world including in Russia, Spain, Germany, Taiwan, England, the United States, and Canada. 

This performing troupe was invited to Deaf Way I in Washington, DC in 1989 and the empowering experience changed Max forever. Two years later, he defected from Russia to live in Vancouver, BC. Since that time Fomitchev has performed on stage, in numerous television commercials, in TV series and in film including his performance in feature the film "Saving Silverman" starring Jason Biggs & Jack Black, TV serial L-Word one of episodes with Marlee Matlin, also starring roles in independent films by Mosdeux by Wayne Betts and Chad Taylor "The Deaf Family" & "The Caretaker" 

His shinning moment when he was invited back to perform in Washington DC for Deaf Way II in 2002 as a solo performer where he thrilled an audience of over seven thousand, then performed at M2005 Celebration at Deaflympics 2005 in Melbourne, Australia.

Max Fomitchev astounds audiences with his versatility and keeps them in stitches with his physical comedy of Maximime solo shows. From the most sophisticated of audiences to those with children, Fomitchev dazzles crowds with charm, talent and humour. 
Was invited to perform as MadHatter for One Night One Drop 2016 show, directed by Hassan El Hajjami at Smith Centre, Las Vegas. 
As "Storm" clown of CDS "Alegria" traveled across USA, Europe, Russia, Turkey and Israel to standing ovations of seven thousand plus audiences, and touching hearts wherever he performs.
​ Recently was Hocus clown of Cirque du Soleil "Zarkana" at Aria Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas 2014-2016.
